I Like This

Lately I have become slightly addicted to Thought Catalog - a constantly updated collection of articles and blog posts on random topics (usually funny) and, well, thoughts. There are some real gems on that website. I go on multiple times a day and always find something scanning through the pages that peaks my interest. Tonight, it was this:

32 Things That Are Worth Caring About

...and I wanted to share. I agree.

It is one of the more serious articles (although I did read one post earlier today about rape...that was a real debbie downer), but I think we can all appreciate or learn to appreciate the majority of points on that list.

#15 is a huge pet peeve of mine.
#25 is one I am trying to work on but having a lot of trouble with.
#31 ...amen.

Take a minute and read the list. Take another minute to browse Thought Catalog. It will most likely become one of your most visited sites.

You're welcome.

Lately

I really didn't mean to neglect my little bloggie. So much has changed since my last post, I just can't think of the right words to explain the roller coaster that has been the last few months of my life. For starters: I moved. Peace out, Manayunk. Hello, South Philly. I absolutely love my new neighborhood and its proximity to...everything. I am also being forced to be separated from my car, the beloved Vibe, starting Thanksgiving week and continuing into whenever I get my ass in gear and can afford insurance. I've been hired, I've been fired, I've been hired again. I was unemployed (not to be confused with #funemployed) for nearly the entire summer and it was all kinds of horrible. I currently have a full-time job, not one that requires a degree, but one that I am enjoying nonetheless. And it pays the bills, so I'm really not complaining.

Things I am looking forward to include, but are not limited to:

1. Sandy to be over. Rain for days on end is all sorts of depressing. Being able to leave my house would be nice, too.
2. Thanksgiving. Not only is it my favorite holiday, but I am so excited to go home for a few days and soak up all of that Buffalo goodness.
3. The gallon of ice cream in my freezer. Stocking up on cookies 'n cream was really my only priority for this storm.
4. Blogging. Lots and lots of blogging. Don't be a stranger to Notorious BABs - it's really worth your time, I promise.
5. My roommate to move in. Hint, hint.

Sorry for being so absent for the past few months. I am full of empty promises but Trish the Dish is near and dear to my heart and we just can't be kept apart for too long. Until next time...
